Apple Cinnamon Rolls
A vegetarian bread recipe, different from the ones I used to make with butter and brown sugar spread on the dough. This recipe's filling consists of apples, walnuts, raisins, and fragrant cinnamon, topped with shredded coconut. It offers a rich flavor, is low-calorie, nutritious, and healthy—perfect for sharing with everyone.
Ingredients
Steps
Using a picture of bread made by my kid (milk is used instead of water, butter is used instead of olive oil to make the hot dog dough), first mix the dry yeast with water to activate it. Prepare the dough part for kneading as shown.
Start kneading the dough.
Knead the dough until it is smooth and round, then set it aside.
Let the dough proof at room temperature (26°C) for about 50 minutes.
Prepare the filling: Dice the apples and cook them with water, brown sugar, and cinnamon powder. When it comes to a boil, reduce the heat and cook until the water is completely absorbed and the cinnamon aroma is released.
Add raw walnuts and raisins to the cooked apples.
The dough is now ready after the first proofing.
Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 25cm x 35cm in size, as shown.
Spread the filling on the rolled-out dough.
Roll up the dough.
Slice into pieces according to your preference; about 3.5cm thickness is recommended.
Shape the rolls and let them proof for the final time.
Proof at 28°C for about 50 minutes.
Brush with egg wash and sprinkle shredded coconut.
Bake at 180°C for about 18 minutes.
Take it out of the oven and enjoy it hot—it's incredibly delicious!
