Cheese Sausage Yeast Waffles—Kenwood Waffle Maker
Occasionally eating something savory, soft, and flavorful is pure happiness! Actually, I have to say this waffle recipe is delicious even on its own, getting more flavorful the more you chew. You don’t even need to add a filling; just let the dough ferment and press it directly. The recipe makes 6 pieces. 😋😋 In the hot summer, I really don’t feel like cooking on the stove or using the oven. Making waffles in advance and storing them in the freezer is the best choice. Yeast-based waffles are much more suitable for this storage method than the traditional baking powder waffles. Pop one in the microwave for 30 seconds in the morning, and it returns to its soft and fluffy state—so convenient! This simple Kenwood waffle maker has been with me since 2015 when I got the Hong Kong version. Over the years, I’ve successfully recommended it to many friends. Really ❤️ think it’s amazing, so I got some benefits for everyone! === === === 📢📢 📢📢 📢📢=== === === 📢📢 The second round of group buying will be from August 15th to 20th, 2018. Ingredients
Steps
The night before, mix all the ingredients into a smooth, non-sticky dough. Cover the mixing bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight for fermentation. (If you don’t want to wait overnight, you can ferment it at room temperature until doubled in size before proceeding to the next step.)
The next morning, deflate the dough, divide it into 6 equal parts, and roll into balls (I doubled the recipe and made 12). Let them rest covered with plastic wrap at room temperature for 30 minutes. During this time, mix the filling ingredients.
Take one portion of dough, flatten it, and spoon some filling into the center. Press the filling lightly with the spoon, then fold and seal the dough using the right hand to pinch and the left thumb to help press the filling in place.
Press the dough into the waffle maker.
Green light on means it's done! Soft and fluffy!
Be sure to eat it warm! Once cooled, you can freeze them for up to two weeks. Heat them in the microwave before eating.
