Braised Chicken Wings with Chestnuts

Chicken wings and chestnuts have always been my favorite ingredients. Since chestnuts are available in all supermarkets now at a reasonable price, haha, let’s quickly grab some and make this dish, Braised Chicken Wings with Chestnuts. It’s absolutely delicious and mouthwatering. This dish is made using a braised cooking method. After cooking, the chestnuts become soft, creamy, and sweet, the aroma of chicken wings is irresistible, the meat is tender, and the taste is simply delightful.

Ingredients

10 chicken wings, 16 chestnuts, scallions, ginger, garlic, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, salt, cooking wine, rock sugar, star anise, Sichuan peppercorns.to taste

Finally, add salt to taste. If there is too much sauce, you can increase the heat to let it reduce slightly. Be careful not to over-reduce the sauce, as I did today.

Cooking Tips

Peel the chestnuts in advance. You can make a small cut on the chestnuts and microwave them on high for three minutes, then peel them. Alternatively, you can boil them in a pot for five minutes before peeling. Both methods are simple, so choose the one that suits you best.
