Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
A delicious chocolate chip cookie. As a true chocolate lover, I couldn't resist this one—ate four pieces in one go before even taking a photo! Rich chocolate flavor with a crispy exterior and soft interior—simply amazing 👍!
Ingredients
Steps
Prepare the ingredients: 154g low-gluten flour, 10g cocoa powder, 100g butter, 1 egg, 5ml Baileys Irish Cream, 34g granulated sugar, 34g brown sugar, 2g baking soda, 5ml hot water, 1g salt, 150g dark chocolate chips.
Mix 10g cocoa powder, 34g brown sugar, and 14g low-gluten flour in a blender until evenly combined. Preheat the oven to 170°C with top and bottom heat.
Soften butter at room temperature until it is pliable, then add granulated sugar and mix slightly. Whip the mixture to a feather-like state but don't overdo it.
Add one beaten egg and mix until fully incorporated.
Add 5ml Baileys Irish Cream and 1g salt, and stir until evenly mixed.
Mix 5ml hot water with 2g baking soda until dissolved, then add it to the butter mixture and stir until evenly combined.
Add the cocoa powder and brown sugar mixture and fold until evenly combined.
Sift in the low-gluten flour in three additions into the butter mixture, folding gently with a spatula. Avoid overmixing; just combine until even.
Add 130g chocolate chips and mix until evenly combined.
Divide the dough into 40 small portions, roll into balls, and place on a non-stick baking sheet. Decorate the surface with chocolate chips.
Bake at 170°C for 12 minutes—these are soft cookies! For a crunchier texture, extend baking time by 5–8 minutes as desired.
So delicious! I ate four pieces in one go.
Wow—delicious chocolate chip cookies are fresh out of the oven! Loving the chocolate aroma... Afternoon tea with a cup of coffee and a couple of cookies—it couldn't get happier.
