Christmas Candy Cane Cookies

Steps

Soften the butter, add icing sugar, and beat lightly until the butter lightens in color and increases in volume.

Add the egg white gradually in several portions, mixing until smooth and free of any lumps.

Divide the mixture into two portions and sift low-gluten flour into each. For the green dough, also sift in matcha powder, and knead each portion into a smooth dough. Wrap each in cling film and let rest for 30 minutes.

Break apart the two doughs into pieces weighing about 4-5g each, and roll them into long strips.

Twist the two-colored strips together as shown, then roll them longer.

Shape them into a candy cane.
