Cute Cat -- Whole Wheat Honey Mini Bread
Haven't made shaped bread for a while, so I decided to attempt one today. Cute and delicious with a black sesame filling!
Ingredients
Steps
Start with the filling. Soften the butter, mix it thoroughly with the sugar, and add it to the black sesame walnut powder. The black sesame walnut powder is made by grinding roasted black sesame and walnuts into a fine powder using a food processor.
Rub the mixture into crumbs by hand, then refrigerate for later.
Put all ingredients for the bread, except the butter, into the bread machine bucket.
Knead for 15 minutes, then add softened butter and continue kneading for another 20 minutes. Knead until the dough forms a thin, thin film (windowpane test), and let it proof in a warm place until it doubles in size.
Punch down the proofed dough and divide it into 7 portions, reserving one portion for the cat's ears and tails.
Roll out one portion into an oval shape.
Spread half of the black sesame filling evenly.
Fold it over and seal the edges with water.
Take the reserved dough, roll it out, and cut out 12 small triangles for ears. Use the rest to form 6 small strips as tails. Attach them as shown, and place them on a baking tray. Allow them to proof in a warm, humid environment for 40 minutes.
Sift flour over the proofed dough.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and draw eyes, noses, and whiskers on the bread.
Isn't it cute?
The filling is very fragrant!
Here comes the lazy cat!
