Delicious Red Bean Toast
To facilitate communication among food enthusiasts, I have set up a QQ food group (170721134). The group members are all food lovers, and we enjoy chatting about food, drinks, and fashion together, having a really lively time! Inspired by the sisters in the group, my passion for baking has been rekindled. Sometimes, it feels like baking is not just about eating but more about enjoying the process itself—the joy of watching a white dough transform into a plump one in your hands; the fragrant aroma of milk filling the room when the dough is in the oven; the satisfaction of tearing or cutting a freshly baked loaf of bread... Haha, I truly enjoy seeing my family relish the safe and healthy bread I make. For those who love baking and playing with baking, you know what I mean! Adding some sweet red beans to ordinary toast turns it into something truly unique, with a richer and more delightful taste. Recently, the weather has turned cold, and with no central heating yet or any other fermentation aids, I’ve had to rely on room-temperature fermentation. Making a single loaf of bread takes an entire day, and it’s no easy task! When the bread was finally done and I started taking photos, it was already getting dark, and the pictures didn’t turn out very nice.
Ingredients
Steps
Mix milk with yeast until dissolved, pour into the mixer, then add egg, high-gluten flour, sugar, and salt in order. Turn on the machine. After 5 minutes, add butter and knead for about 25 minutes.
Knead until you get a thin stretchy film.
Let the kneaded dough rise for the first fermentation until it no longer rebounds when pressed.
Divide the dough into three parts and let them rest at room temperature for 15 minutes.
Roll each piece of dough into an oval shape.
Fold both edges inward.
Spread sweet red beans on top.
Roll it up.
Place into a toast mold for the second fermentation.
Once it doubles in size, brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Preheat the oven, then bake on the second-lowest rack at 180 degrees Celsius for 25 minutes.
