Braised Pork Belly (Home-Style Braised Pork, Electric Pressure Cooker Version, Super Simple)

Ingredients

Ginger2 slices
Green Onionto taste
Soy Sauceto taste

Cooking Wineto taste

Steps

Cut the pork into small pieces and blanch in cold water. When the water begins to boil, remove the pork immediately to prevent residues from sticking to the surface.

Add a little water to the pot, then add rock sugar or white sugar. When the sugar turns into a caramel color, stir in the pork.

Keep stir-frying. Make sure to fry long enough to release the oil from the meat.

Add chopped green onions, ginger, and star anise. Continue to stir-fry, then add soy sauce and cooking wine. Fry until the fatty part of the meat feels firm, then add hot water (the amount depends on your pot; for an electric pressure cooker, less water is needed).

Transfer everything into the electric pressure cooker. The water level should look like the picture. Set the cooker to the 'braised meat' setting. Done! After it's ready, the kids will eat lots of it 🤗🤗🤗. Once it's in the pot, you can leave it alone and cook other dishes meanwhile~
