Ingredients
Low-Gluten Flour100g
White Sugar80g
Baking Powder6g
Custard Powder6g
Corn Oil38g
Water40g
Eggs2 (approximately 50g with shell)
Corn Oil (2)A small amount (for greasing the mold)
Steps

1. Mix the low-gluten flour, baking powder, and custard powder evenly.

2. Add eggs to the flour mixture and mix well.

3. Dissolve the sugar in water, then mix in the corn oil.

4. Combine step 3 with step 2 and mix evenly until there are no lumps.

5. Add a small amount of corn oil to the mold to aid in the cake rising beautifully during steaming.

6. Steam over high heat for 8 to 10 minutes after the water has reached a boil.

Cooking Tips
Make sure the water is boiling before placing the batter in the steamer, and steam at high heat continuously∩_∩. I find this cake truly amazing—simple, non-greasy, and incredibly smooth and delicate in texture with a subtle fragrance, suitable for all ages.
This time I used a hard mold, which is slightly coarse. Using soft molds like foil molds may result in a taller and more visually appealing cake.
(Note: Do not use too much custard powder, as it can affect the taste!)
