Marshmallow Rose Petal Nougat Bars
Having a foodie daughter at home means I must keep up with the trends. I've heard nougat bars are very popular, so as her mom, I had to give it a try! Last year I created a recipe for rose petal nougat candy, and it was well received. Today's highlight is also rose petals. Ingredients
Steps
Prepare all ingredients. Mix the biscuits, nuts (slightly chopped), and dried fruits (slightly chopped) together. If using salt, add a pinch to the milk powder. Also, mix some rose petals into the milk powder.
Heat a non-stick pan, then reduce to low heat and add chopped butter. Alternatively, melt the butter in a water bath beforehand and then pour it into the pan.
Once the butter is melted, add the marshmallows and stir.
After the marshmallows and butter are fully melted together, add the milk powder.
Stir the milk powder, marshmallows, and butter thoroughly until evenly mixed, as shown in the image. (This version includes pandan juice, and the rose petals were mixed with the nuts.)
Pour the mixed biscuits, nuts, and dried fruits into the marshmallow mixture. Stir until they are mixed evenly, as shown in the image, then turn off the heat.
Prepare the mold in advance by sprinkling some milk powder (other than the listed milk powder) and some rose petals.
Pour the mixed marshmallow mixture into the mold, press it down firmly, and sprinkle rose petals and some milk powder (other than the listed milk powder) on top.
While still warm, cut into your desired shapes.
This one includes red velvet liquid.
This version includes pandan juice.
