Microwave Cherry Preserves
The method is very simple. Using a microwave, it takes only three rounds of four minutes each to easily make delicious cherry preserves.
Ingredients
Steps
Wash the fresh cherries thoroughly, soak in light saltwater for 2 hours, then drain.
Remove the stems, place in a microwave-safe container, and mix with white sugar. Let marinate.
After about half an hour, the sugar begins to dissolve and release some liquid.
Leave the container uncovered, do not cover it. Microwave on high for four minutes.
Wear gloves to take it out, pour out the juice (this juice can be mixed with warm water to be used as cherry juice). Microwave again on high for four minutes and stir.
Lastly, microwave again on high for four minutes. At this stage, check to see that there is basically no juice left in the container. Any remaining should be stored in a sealed jar and refrigerated. Consume within one week.
