Cut the soft tofu into small cubes and set aside.
Put oil, minced garlic, chili powder, and toasted white sesame seeds into a bowl.
Microwave on high for 1 minute.
Take it out and add 2 spoons of light soy sauce, 2 spoons of oyster sauce, 1 spoon of doubanjiang, and half a spoon of Lao Gan Ma chili oil (optional).
Mix well.
Pour the sauce over the tofu.
Microwave on high for 5 minutes.
When done, sprinkle with chopped green onions. A simple and delicious mapo tofu is ready—it smells amazing!
