One-Step Whole Wheat Cranberry Toast

If you are an office worker like me and don't have time to wait for long fermentation or do shaping, you might want to try this whole wheat cranberry toast. It will definitely not disappoint you. Soft and delicious, it’s so satisfying to tear it apart by hand.

Ingredients

High Gluten Flour250g
Whole Wheat Bread Flour75g
Sugar40g
Yeast4g
Egg50g
Water160g
Olive Oil30g
Dried Cranberries35-45g
Salt4g

Steps

Measure all the ingredients.

Add water, olive oil, and egg to the bread machine.

Mix high-gluten flour and whole wheat bread flour, sift them, and add to the bread machine.

Place salt and sugar diagonally inside the bread machine.

Dig a small hole in the center of the flour and add yeast.

Select program 1, set the weight to 500g, and baking color to light. Press the start button. (I used the Petrus PE9600 bread machine.)

Rinse the cranberries and soak them for a while.

Chop them into small pieces.

Put them into the fruit dispenser of the bread machine. My bread machine has an automatic dispenser function, so there's no need for manual operation. If your bread machine doesn’t have an automatic dispenser function, you can manually knead the dried fruit into the dough.
