Peanut Brittle Beginner's Success
The magical collision of peanuts and sugar!
Ingredients
Steps
Roast the peanut kernels or bake them at 180°C for 20 minutes. Rub off the skins by hand.
Add the granulated sugar into a non-stick pan and stir over low heat.
The sugar will form big lumps first. Be patient and keep stirring—it will soon turn out fine.
Once the sugar has completely melted, turn off the heat and pour in all the peanut kernels and white sesame seeds in one go.
Stir with a spatula until evenly mixed, showcasing beautiful sugar threads.
Pour onto a dry cutting board, then flatten and shape using a rolling pin. It’s amazing that it doesn’t stick—but be sure to avoid any water.
Cut into small pieces while still warm; once cooled, it will be too hard to cut.
Let cool completely, then store in a bag.
