Classic Napoleon requires tedious preparation, often taking hours to finish. However, this Napoleon tart has a stunning presentation and is super easy to make. You can enjoy a refined afternoon tea at home with full ceremony vibes!
Ingredients
Steps
Take the tart shells out of the freezer (no need to thaw), remove the foil, and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Let them sit for 2–3 minutes to soften slightly for easier shaping.
Once thawed, use your fingers to pinch the border where the bottom meets the sides, gently turning and pressing to make the shell flat and smooth. Be careful to avoid cracking the edges. Cover the tart shells with parchment paper to prevent sticking and gently press down on the edges and center bulge using your fingers.
Remove the parchment paper and place the shells into a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F), middle rack, and bake for 15–18 minutes until they turn golden brown.
After baking, transfer the tart shells to a cooling rack along with the parchment paper. Cover the surface with parchment paper, then press it lightly with a baking tray for a moment.
Whip the chilled whipping cream with sugar until soft peaks form. Prepare a piping bag with an 8-tooth star tip, and fill it with the whipped cream.
Start assembling: Pipe 6 cream swirls onto the pastry base (ensure they are tall enough to hold the fruit). Place a fruit piece in the center, then pipe more cream before adding a second pastry layer. Pipe another 6 cream swirls and top with strawberries for decoration. Your Napoleon Tart is ready!
