🔥Tender Pork Belly with Quail Eggs and Potatoes‼️/Braised Pork Feet with Soybeans
Steps
Boil quail eggs in boiling water for 7 minutes.
Rinse with cold water to make peeling easier.
Clean the pork belly and cut into small pieces. Place in cold water, add ginger slices and cooking wine, bring to a boil, then remove and set aside.
Heat oil in a pan, then turn to low heat. Add 5 pieces of yellow rock sugar to make the sugar color. Then add 1 star anise, 1 bay leaf, and 1 cinnamon stick to stir-fry for aroma.
Stir-fry the pork belly for aroma. Add 2 spoons of yellow wine (or cooking wine), 2 spoons of light soy sauce, 1 spoon of dark soy sauce, Sichuan pepper, dried chili, and 3 slices of ginger.
Add boiling water to cover the pork belly. Bring to a boil, then simmer on low heat for 40 minutes.
Garnish with chopped green onions, and it’s ready to serve!
This recipe works great for braising pork feet: ❶ Soak soybeans overnight. ❷ Follow the same preparation and seasoning steps. ❸ Braise pork feet with soybeans for 40 minutes (I usually use a pressure cooker). ❹ Reserve some broth to cook triangular pieces of tofu sheets until the liquid is absorbed, and it’s done!
