Sunflower Red Bean Pastry - Blossoms from the Oven
I really enjoy Chinese flaky pastries, whether it's filled with red bean paste, mixed nuts, lotus seed paste, salted egg yolk, or others—I love them all. I made sunflower pastries at home; they look beautiful and have an incredibly flaky and fragrant texture. They crumble into pieces at the slightest touch... This time, the filling also used my favorite homemade red bean paste. It's perfectly sweet—not overly cloying at all. I made these with my lovely daughter. After they were done, we found them so cute and attractive. The whole oven was full of blossoming flowers... My daughter even took a few to school to share with her dorm mates. Haha.
