Amazing Bacon Egg Toast Rolls
Tired of plain toast? A new approach brings a surprising sensation. Short on time in the morning? No problem, just 10 minutes to prepare. Inspired by Yan Se's WeChat moments where she recreated this dish after trying it in South Korea. With her permission, I'm sharing the recipe here.
Ingredients
Steps
Prepare the ingredients and preheat the oven to 180°C.
Beat one egg, add a pinch of salt and black pepper, and mix well. Heat the pan with some oil and scramble the egg.
In a wide dish, beat the other egg and set aside.
Trim three edges off each slice of toast.
Dip both sides of the toast briefly in the beaten egg. Don’t let it soak too long; a quick dip is enough, as over-soaked toast will become too soggy and fall apart.
Place the scrambled egg and crushed nuts on one end of a toast slice.
Fold the other end of the toast over, wrap it with a slice of bacon, and press the seam to the bottom.
Place the rolled-up toast on a baking tray, sprinkle with dried herbs and black pepper powder, and bake in the oven for 15 minutes until the bacon is cooked.
