Vegetarian Abalone | Honey Glazed King Oyster Mushroom

You really can't tell it's King Oyster Mushroom. It tastes just like meat, super appetizing with rice.

Ingredients

King Oyster Mushroom2 pieces
Green Onion2 stalks
Garlic2 cloves

Steps

First, slice the King Oyster Mushroom to a moderate thickness.

Then carve cross-hatch patterns on the slices.

Heat oil and sauté the King Oyster Mushrooms until golden brown. Remove and set aside. Reserve the remaining oil for frying the green onion and garlic.

Finely chop the green onion and garlic, and prepare the sauce. Sauce: 2.5 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, 1 tablespoon oyster sauce.

Heat oil. Sauté the green onion and garlic until fragrant.

Pour in the sauce, bring it to a boil, then add the King Oyster Mushrooms.

Cook on high heat to thicken the sauce. Dish out and garnish with some chopped green onion.

Cooking Tips

I prefer strong flavors, and this dish tastes great with rice. For milder flavors, you can reduce the seasoning.
