Super Easy Christmas Gingerbread House (Advanced: Church Gingerbread House)
For the ingredients and cookie-making steps, please refer to my previous recipe. One batch is just enough for one house. Make sure to prepare more candies since there are many windows 🤗 Basic version gingerbread house: http://www.xiachufang.com/recipe/102159882/ The church template has been uploaded.
Ingredients
Steps
Make the template
Cut out the pieces
Bake at 190°C for 13 minutes, then remove from the oven
Crush three colors of candy and place them where the windows (glass) will be. Add a generous layer, then bake for another 3 minutes
Done
Decorate with royal icing
Assemble
I glued a candle inside, haha. Once it’s done, the “glass” lets the light shine through, and the light-and-shadow effect is super gorgeous 🤗
Finished view
The glass cracked a bit during handling… which actually created a nice icy, snowy effect 😂
Add a Christmas tree outside
This church is based on a design by an amazing baker overseas.
The original design by that overseas master. This is the effect with the candle lit 🤗

Front view of the church. Remember to cut out the door and keep it to bake separately, then glue it on at the end
Back view of the church. Dimensions refer to the front-view diagram above. There’s no door in the middle, no door in the middle, no door in the middle~ I messed up the drawing
