Green Onion Cheese Sausage Bread (Hot Dog Bread)
My daughter wanted to eat sausage bread, so I made it 😄. Green onion and cheese mix perfectly, and the homemade salad dressing is incredibly flavorful 😋. It's recommended to keep 10g of water aside temporarily before mixing. I used chicken breakfast sausages, though pork sausages would likely look more attractive in terms of color.
Ingredients
Steps
1⃣️ Except for butter, put all the bread ingredients into the main bowl. Set for 4 minutes of kneading.
2⃣️ Add butter and set for another 2 minutes of kneading (use a kneading machine until the dough reaches the glove membrane stage).
3⃣️ Remove the dough and place it in a large bowl to ferment until doubled in size.
4⃣️ Knead the fermented dough to release air, then divide it into equally sized portions (each 63g in my case). Roll into balls and let rest for 15 minutes. After resting, roll into a tongue shape, fold both sides toward the center, and pinch the seam tightly; flip over, place a sausage on top, and press firmly.
5⃣️ Place in the oven for a second fermentation until doubled in size. Place a bowl of hot water at the base of the oven to increase humidity (around 37°C for 40 minutes).
6⃣️ Brush the surface of the fully fermented bread with egg wash, sprinkle shredded cheese, squeeze tomato sauce and salad dressing, and finally sprinkle chopped green onion.
7⃣️ Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake for 20 minutes ♨️. You may cover with aluminum foil if color is satisfactory.
The aroma is irresistible, weight loss is impossible anymore 😂.
