Brown Sugar Blooming Steamed Cake
After four consecutive days of trying, it finally bloomed. It’s actually quite simple to make it bloom, but I spent four days figuring it out.
Ingredients
120g Brown Sugarto taste
270g Low-Gluten Flourto taste
220g Hot Waterto taste
5g Baking Powderto taste

Dissolve the brown sugar in hot water.

Once the brown sugar water has cooled down, add the low-gluten flour.

Add the baking powder.

Stir until the mixture is smooth with no lumps.

First, bring a pot of water to a boil (make sure to place the batter only when the water is boiling). Then, put the batter-filled molds (about 90% full) into the pot and steam on high heat for 20 minutes.
