Purple Sweet Potato Rose Buns
Beautiful rose flowers on the dining table are only for admiration. Used a recipe from kitchen friends, with an increased amount of flour. Sincere thanks to friends who love life. I'm just worried that trying all these delicious foods will make me unrecognizably chubby.
Ingredients
Steps
Steam the purple sweet potatoes, peel them, and mash them.
Mix them with flour, yeast, and water. Add the purple sweet potato water little by little until the dough is smooth. To avoid sticking, I used the kneading function of the bread machine, which worked great.
Ferment the dough at 40 degrees until it doubles in size, then shape it. Divide the dough into six portions, take one portion, and further divide it into six small pieces. Roll out five small pieces into evenly thin round slices, and shape one into an olive shape.
Roll it up, twist it in the middle, and divide it into two pieces to finish the shaping.
Let the shaped buns rest in the steamer for 15 minutes, then steam them over high heat for 30 minutes.
After steaming, turn off the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes before opening the lid.
The vibrant and beautiful purple sweet potato rose buns are ready!
Surprisingly, they were a success on the first try, and they are soft and flavorful with an excellent texture.
